10 Questions for Reflection at the New Year

I love New Year's Eve! It's one of my favorite days of the year (along with my birthday and Thanksgiving! :-)). 2010 has been challenging for a lot of people that I know (myself included) and even if you've had a good year, it's time for change.

The New Year brings with it a blank slate, a sense of "anything's possible" and lots of hope and anticipation about the future. It feels fresh and new and squeaky clean!

Here are a few questions that I invite you to consider as we embark on the New Year. You may want to pull out your journal and write down your observations, or print this out and discuss over a meal with your partner, children or best friend.

2010 in Review

  1. What did you accomplish this year?
  2. What challenged you this year?
  3. What did you learn about yourself?
  4. What are you ready to let go of?
  5. What do you wish to bring forward into the new year?

Looking Ahead to 2011

  1. What is your theme for the New Year?
  2. What specific goals do you have?
  3. How would you like to FEEL in 2011?
  4. What new experiences would you like to have?
  5. What do you want to be celebrating on Dec 31, 2011?

Happy New Year! May 2011 bring abundant blessings to you and yours!

Coach E.

P.S. If you are looking for help or support in inviting abundant blessings into your life, I invite you to join me January 4th to learn more about my new Inspired Entrepreneur Coaching Group in Tally, consider signing up for the 4 week teleclass 28 Days of Solitude in February or join me for Solitude in the Mountains: Space to Be and Breathe in Georgia in March!

The Season for Gratitude

Stop. Take a minute and truly stop.

Stop thinking. Stop planning. Stop doing.

Just BE.

Take a deep breath. Take another. And another.

Now... when you check in with yourself at the heart level... deep down below the noise and chaos and busy-ness of the holiday season... what do you feel?

I can't begin to know your answer but I know for myself, the answer is simple... gratitude.

In this season of reflection, contemplation, endings and new beginnings on the horizon, I feel gratitude.

Not because this has been a great year. Not because everything turned out the way I wanted it to. On the contrary, it did not. This has been a hard year for me and a lot of people I love and care about.

I feel gratitude because I am alive. Because I am learning. Because I am growing. Because I have an amazing husband, friends I adore, family that supports me and meaningful work that makes a difference in the world.

I feel gratitude because I get the experience the highs and lows and this rollercoaster ride we call LIFE!

What are you grateful for?

Happy Holidays to you and to yours...Coach E.
